These aren’t bolt on goodies – The parts this company makes are essential accessories that either protect or enhance the safety of the vehicle and rider. The owner’s “hands-on” racing experience and input from other riders and OEM’s has driven product development and innovation.
The company has built it’s own major brand, and counts the top tier OEM’s as clients – Kawasaki, Suzuki, Polaris and Arctic Cat. Another industry major is coming on line as we write.
They have grown from zero to over $6 million in just six years and are poised to exceed $8 million in 2008. Growth in 2008 (without the new major OEM) is forecast to be at least 5% (first three months are at 9%). The next goal is $10 million sales within the next 18 to 36 months.
Gross Margins average 43%. They have just moved from a 17,500 sq. ft facility to an excellent manufacturing plant and warehouse (50,000 sq. ft.), with a skilled and experienced workforce, and excellent line management.
In 2007, branded product comprised 61% of gross sales, with 39% to the OEM’s. In 2001, it was almost the exact opposite – 70% OEM, 30% branded.
