Bickering Twins is a restaurant with a style of Mexican food that is not available elsewhere within our local area (lengua tacos, lamb barbacoa, beef picadillo empanadas etc.) as well as simple but refreshing cocktails like House Margaritas with fresh squeezed lime juice, (as well as tamarind, jalapeno and mango margaritas), and mojitos, palomas, micheladas and more. We also have curated tequila and mezcal flights that are served with thoughtfully written tasting cards and a selection of roughly 90 different tequilas and mezcals .

We are offering a well-functioning, profitable restaurant, that includes our name and logo, the recipe booklets for food and cocktails, our employee handbook, our website domain name, uniforms, well maintained (and many new) pieces of equipment, a newly renovated bar (renovated in April 2023), our Toast POS system, as well as a complete guide of our standard operating procedures which includes the following: a description of our hiring and scheduling strategies, employee management systems, current relationships with food and liquor distributors, current contracts and/or relationships with companies (for equipment maintenance, pest control, linens etc.,) guidance on how to execute our menu, and a host of training manuals/checklists.

Bickering Twins was established in 2016 as a pop-up restaurant/catering business by Corey (me) and my identical twin brother Kevin. Although we (as the owners) are present often and execute many general management duties such as hiring, firing, scheduling, and food ordering, the restaurant largely operates efficiently without us. This is because over the last 5 years we have put everything in writing, and have created operational systems for everything we can think of. The FOH staff follows opening and closing checklists, the right tools and supplies are in all the right places, and we have a very thorough binder full of our original recipes.

We have spent the last 9 years developing a loyal base of regular customers as well as creating a solid footing among the college population who tend to enjoy our place very much and pass on the positive feedback to siblings, friends, and acquaintances who come to the area to attend Cornell University or Ithaca College.

Our current lease term ends Dec 31 2027 but after that initial term, we have negotiated 3 five-year options, with the last option ending on Dec 31 2042. Our lease is transferable and binding to whomever purchases the restaurant.
